XXXXXXXXXX "Mulder, do you want the cherry off the top of my sundae?" Scully asked before she dug in to the huge confection. "Of course, Scully, I've always lusted after your cherry," Mulder said with a smirk. "Get real, big guy. This is the only cherry of mine you'll ever get near," she said as she slid the sweet, maraschino cherry from her spoon into the waiting mouth of her new husband. "Scully," he groaned. "I just got very turned on." Dana Scully laughed. The sound was a joy to Mulder. At nine months and ten days pregnant, his bride, his partner, his everything had very little to laugh about. Not that she was cranky! Well, at least he would never actually verbalize that she was cranky, out loud. She did have her moments. For instance, yesterday, when her batteries had died in her laptop in the middle of an on-line chat she was having with her little brother Charlie, she had slung the laptop across the room in a fit of anger. Luckily, it had landed in a basket full of clean laundry. He'd been able to jolly her out of her temper by wrapping it up in a pair of Sponge Bob Square Pants boxer shorts along with a freshly charged battery when he retrieved it. No more dead laptop and a happy wife was his goal. She had rewarded him with a smile and a request for take out dinner. She had ordered Indian food from O'Malley of India's restaurant. He was still trying to regain the feeling on the tip of his tongue from the curry that she had insisted he try. Thank goodness she hadn't ordered in for William. His favorite, Mac n' Cheese and fish sticks, balanced with green beans, was an easy meal and even he was able to cook it just right. Quick and easy was what the doctor ordered for meal time lately. Mulder hoped that the little baby girl his Scully was carrying was after the same results, quick and easy. He had actually prayed that God was merciful, and it was soon, very, very soon. He sighed as he sat down on the end of the couch and slid her feet into his lap. He opened the foot lotion and began to give her feet a soothing massage. "Is William asleep?" she asked. At his nod she said, "You know you don't have to do everything around here, don't you, Mulder?" "Yeah, I do, Scully. I missed so much with William; I want to be here for everything. I need to do everything I can to help you." "In that case, how about a banana Popsicle," she asked sweetly. "Your wish is my command," he said with a smile. He thanked Maggie once again for picking up two cases of them when she found them last week. He was almost to the door when she said, "Oh, and don't forget the jalapenos." "Yes, Dear."
